I have been going on fishing charters with Stray Cat Fishing for the past few years, every time I go to Hilton Head, and I have had a wonderful time each and every time I have gone with Captain Jim. While we have had varying success rates, depending on what we are fishing for, and location, the enjoyment is High each and every time. Jim is not only dripping in knowledge of the local fishing scene, but his passion for it is also very infectious. Passion for fishing can only get you so far however in the variable world of fishing, and some times it very slow, and not overly exciting. Captain Jim has a way of making this times fun too. Depending on what you are fishing for and the time of the year it can be feast or famine, but my first time fishing with Captain Jim was truly a feast. We went fishing in name only, we were catching, and catching lots. And not matter what anyone tells you, catching is WAY more fun than fishing. The location of his dock and boat are even in a fantastic location. When he is busy filleting the fish that you have caught, you can walk up to either the Chart House or the Skull Creek Boathouse to enjoy a snack and a cocktail or 6 if you prefer. Jim has also even been featured on a VS fishing show. If you are in the Hilton Head area, and you are looking to fish, you would do yourself a big favor by using the Stray Cat Charter service, I know we will next time we are there.
